WSOPE PLO Championship down to 2 tables
A £5,000 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha Championship at the World Series of Poker Europe is expected to draw many of the top poker players in the world, and this is precisely what occurred on Thursday when 120 players registered for the tournament. You would be hard-pressed to locate many unrecognizable players out of those 120 entrants, and after two full days of poker action the tournament is down to just 15 players –15 very strong players.
Leading the way going into the final day of the tournament is John Racener with 276,000 chips in his stack. Racener is a member of the November Nine and will be competing for the World Series of Poker Main Event Championship, and the $9 million in first-place prize-money, in November.
Racener’s path to PLO glory will be no cakewalk, lurking behind him on the leader-board are names like Jeff Lisandro, Jeff Madsen, Chris Bjorin, Sam Stein and Joe Serok.
Here is a look at the top 10 chip-counts going into the final day of the tournament:
1. John Racener — 276,000
